From one dispensary to a growing enterprise platform company.
Zanexa Solutions was founded in Zanzibar in 2019. We started with a single facility and a straightforward belief: African organizations deserve enterprise software that understands their context.
Who We Are
Intelligent digital systems built for how African organizations actually operate.
We build serious, production-grade enterprise software. Not proof-of-concepts or generic templates. Systems that are already live in healthcare facilities, backed by local implementation teams, and continuously improved based on real usage.
Our goal is to create a connected ecosystem of enterprise products that reduces the gap between the technology available to organizations in the global north and what is accessible to organizations across Africa.
We started with healthcare because it was the most urgent need we saw. But the same engineering discipline and local expertise applies to legal practice, asset management, and the other operational domains where African organizations are underserved.

We are based in Zanzibar. We implement locally, support locally and understand the operational realities of our customers from power interruptions to local insurance scheme peculiarities.
Product company, not agency.
We build and operate our own platforms. ZeHMS, ZeLex and ZeAsset are Zanexa products not bespoke client deliverables. We invest in them long-term.
Long-term relationships.
We do not deliver and disappear. Our team provides implementation, training, support and continuous improvement. The relationship deepens over time, not ends at handover.

Our Journey
Six years of growth one deployment at a time.
Started with one dispensary.
Zanexa Solutions was founded in Zanzibar with a single goal: build healthcare software that actually worked for Tanzanian facilities. Our first deployment was a small dispensary one site, a small team, and a determination to solve the problem properly.
Expanding across Zanzibar.
Word spread. More facilities came. We deployed ZeHMS across additional clinics and polyclinics in Unguja and Pemba, learning from each implementation and making the system better with every deployment. Insurance integration with NHIF and ZHSF became a core capability.
Reaching mainland Tanzania.
ZeHMS crossed to Dar es Salaam and Mwanza, entering more complex facility environments hospitals with inpatient wards, larger laboratories, more complex billing. Jubilee Insurance integration was added. The platform grew with the challenge.
35+ facilities. A maturing platform.
With deployments across four regions of Tanzania, ZeHMS became a proven, production-grade healthcare platform. ClaimShield intelligence was introduced to protect facility revenue. LabLink brought laboratory analyzer connectivity into the platform.
Growing beyond healthcare.
The same values and engineering discipline that built ZeHMS are now going into ZeLex (legal practice management) and ZeAsset (enterprise asset management). Zanexa is becoming an ecosystem of operational platforms for African organizations.
